!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! But I decided it might be worth its own post, rather than be the guy who shares his own comment... Somebody put a Mercedes interior and drivetrain into 1955 Chevy truck. Saw it last summer at a local cruise night. Only in Barrington, I guess.

I've officially seen it all.

I would like it better if the Merc badges were gone.

You reminded me of this:
It's an M117 Mercedes motor in this:
An old, commie light truck.

There are things that make sense and then there's this

Wow this guy took an ML (my car) and did this. That's very impressive. Looks super clean too.
For those interested in more about the car, check out an auction for it here! 90k wow, a little over priced maybe?

What's your car? Link?

1999 ML320. Nothing incredibly special.
It's the black Mercedes SUV in this link. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mars478
Specs on engine, 3.2 V6, 5 speed auto, from the interior looks like he sourced a 2001-2002 ML320. This is really impressive to me.

Oh, so you're not in any way connected to the truck. There's still no link with more information or an auction that you mentioned above.

Oh yeah sorry, didn't make that clear. I'm saying that he took my model of car, and put it into a chevy.
Looks like I was kinja'd check it out here: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/on

What? Why? I'm not good at reading lips.

"But why?"

Yea. I have no idea. I would have a lot more respect for it if somebody did it themselves. But after following the link, I realize (most very likely) some rich dude from one of Chicago's well-to-do suburbs just spent 90k on an old truck. With a v6. And plush interior. Cause he was going through a mid-life crisis.
Maybe they didn't put these on in 1955 or it fell off.

"Best of all, because it is actually a Mercedes-Benz SUV with '55 Chevy sheet metal on it, you can enjoy driving a real classic truck and still have it serviced at Mercedes Benz dealerships"
And they are counting that a plus in the whole scheme of things? Seriously? Thats like saying "now you can spend up to 10 times more for parts and service while enjoying your classic truck."
